I was involved with running the entertainments at the Students Union in the early seventies. One of the regular events was a folk club. As it ended up I was put in charge of it along with a a guy called Steve Knightly. See our album of the year. I just love the music and play it on the radio.” His roots music show –“The Crooked Road” is now in its 22nd year. Mike is delighted to be involved with the Swindon 105.5 project, commenting: “Swindon fully deserves it’s own local radio station. Shirley Ludford and the team have given the town just that and we’re really looking forward to 2025 with our new DAB+ coverage.”
